PBBSc Nursing (Post Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing)

PBBSC Nursing Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualifications

  • Higher Secondary: You must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognized board. While Science (PCB) is preferred by most top-tier colleges, many institutions also accept candidates from Arts or Commerce backgrounds.
  • Nursing Diploma: You must have successfully completed a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course from an institution recognized by the INC.
  • Minimum Marks: Most universities require at least 45% to 50% aggregate marks in your GNM diploma.

2. Professional Requirements

  • Registration: You must be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RNRM) with any State Nursing Registration Council.

3. Admission & Age Criteria

  • Age Limit: There is generally no upper age limit for the PBBSc program, though some specific colleges (like St. John’s) may cap it at 47 or 48 years.
  • Medical Fitness: You must provide a certificate of medical fitness from an authorized medical officer.
